with the distant plain burnt out, the viewer does not know if the subject is indeed a building or some integral part of a super computer using solar and optical arrays, the choice of monotone does not allow the observer to deduce the composition of the materials in construction, hence a tantalising conundrum of visual clues confuse the gazer, nevertheless a masterpiece of understated visual creativity... tone...

Neil, The HSBC, how could I forget. I don;t think the priginal is very good. It only really worked in black and white. I'll have another look at it for you.
