Justin: I just use desaturate, then manually select the sky with a marquee, then feather by 200p, copy into a layer, darken with curves, then merge layers, and a lot of manual burning and dodging mainly around the corners as I find this gives the images a border-like effect. Subtle but effective in concentrating the viewers attention to the central and important part of the picture!

the more i see your work the more i respect you as a camera man. wicked sky and just to think that it was a humble Canon 300D... This is something we film shooters have to work very hard in the darkroom for. i appreciate the composition as it is something i am using a lot.
