It's a great camera and I use it more than any other rangefinder that I own! I love shooting it wide open as the DOF is pretty neat, and produces interesting bokeh. Also the slight vignetting really helps to focus a picture :)

cheers rodrigo, I came across this batch of expired 800 on ebay :) it's a strange film. really grainy in some of my cameras but really smooth in others. I think it's just over sensitive to metering. in the case of the Canonet i think the meter is pretty accurate but it came out awful on the spotmatic!

Hmm... pretty weird. I believe it´s what you said, oversensibility to some meters. I´d like to buy a handheld meter, do you have any experience with it?

yeah one advice- don't get selenium!
i'm using a cheap and cheerful (yet highly accurate) Gossen Sixon 2 right now, (CdS) and it works wonders, even comes with a sliding 'window' that goes over the CdS window making it a incident light meter :) bought it for £15 on ebay.
