I've been really lucky with the two latest SLRs, but I have had so much trouble before. Had to send back two olympus RCs because they were just junk. The olympus SP is also inaccurate so I sold it. The Zenit was pretty dead too. I am finally having a bit of luck!!!

Hmmm better quit while I'm ahead :) Need to take them out and shoot them more!! :D

you can usually tell when there is a heap of junk listed as a camera.
usually the ones that say "I think it works but haven't tried it"
what do you mean you haven't tried it!! how hard is that!!
but sometimes you find a real gem, in a box. or with sealed instructions.
if only they were printed in russian :(

I took a risk with this one. All it said was 'takes good pictures', I asked him if the meter worked he said he thought so. He also had a rating of 1!! So I was really lucky there! :D Also this meant most stayed away :) Ironically, all the ones that i've been conned in had proper write ups! :( Just shows, it's all a game of chance!

Picked one up (st705w) at a yard sale a few years ago complete with the winder for $20. It also came with the 55mm Fujinon f1:1.6 lens, Fujica lens cap, case, strap, manual, and a few other accessories all stored in a gadget bag. I haven't used it in a while, but I remember the shutter making a distinctive "ping". I only ever bought one camera from an ebayer, and probably overpaid... a Minolta XK, which works okay, but needs an overhaul. Unfortunately, ebay is where you have to go if you want a specific camera sooner than later. Now I want to pick up a battery and some film for the Fuji.
