Another nice addition to your collection. Like the Caononet, everything looks absolutely crammed on the lens. I'm still not used to it.

Can't wait to see what your baby produces.

Actually the lens is just for focusing! Other than that it's fully 'automatic'. You set the iso rating, focus and shoot! Clever little thing selects apertures from f2.7-f16 and shutter speeds from 4secs to 1/500secs! I just hope the battery and foil job the guy put in produces right exposures!
That's the 1st roll shot, i'll have some scanned in by tomorrow!

I have a Hi-Matic E, which uses the same batteries as the F. I use three SR44/LR44 batteries, which are eay to find.

All you need to make adapters are two strips of paper, some tape, and a little spring(such as can be ripped out of a battery compartment of some old toy or radio that uses AA batteries). If you don't have a spring, then a tight wad of foil (wadded into the same shape and size as one of the above batteries) would work fine. What you want to do is to roll up two strips of paper into two cylinders, where the outside is the same diameter and thickness as the 640-size batteries, and the inside diameter is the same as the LR44 battteries. In one of the cylinders, put two batteries (and load it into the camera), and in the other put one battery and the wad of foil (then shove it in). That's it.

Here's 2 photos I took this week with my Hi-Matic E (with ASA 400):

This camera takes nice photos, but I don't like the fact that I can't hear the shutter open and close. It makes a veeery faint click, but that's all.
