Nice work. Doing my first roll (on my own, without help) was a bit nerve-wracking, not so bad now but having to re-start the loading if it messes up in the dark isn't much fun.

Sweet! Have you read the helpful Ilford BW guide? -> www.ilfordphoto.com/applications/download.asp?n=386
Yeah the initial bit was really nerve wracking for me as well! I practised with a dud roll of film first. I find placing everything in front of you in a neat row helps the loading in the dark.

There's a laminated copy of that guide in the darkroom I use :-) My friend who taught me how to develop film got us to load some crummy colour film blindfolded first, which helped. I agree about neatly arranging everything.
I've found that 120 film is less fiddly to work with than 35mm, not had any problems loading it (yet - touch wood).

Oooo yet to try 120 yet... the only bw 120 i've got are some shitty Chinese Shanghai 100, which has some nice red sugar paper as backing and held together with masking tape... Ghetto!

Ha, nice. A wet roll of 120 is much less of a pain to deal with than however many feet long a 135-36 is...
