We went from London to oxford and back again on a Canal boat a few years back. Took about a week. I read three men and a boat whilst on it. Awesome book.

jamie: that sounds amazing! but the sheer number of locks must have been exhausting! but they probably get less as you leave london?? next time we are going to head up to maida vale. much nicer route i reckon ;) less horribly feral children chucking stuff at us from estates!
