lol so many questions comrade jamie! yes i'm back :) staying with the folks for now in good ol' camden town. doing some cushy temping right now but going to do a MA if i can't find anything more permanent...

been shooting about for a few weeks now but felt a bit dead inside creatively speaking so i thought i'd try some high restrictive old skool photography instead :) no metering i'm afraid, will be using my trusty cheapo gossen sixon for that. wanna play?

The first time I used my Kiev, I just used Sunny-16. Good thing it was a nice, sunny spring day. :)

I just put my eye on one of K4s.
They can produce amazingly nice pictures.

the helios 103 50/1.8 gets a lot of flak for not being as well built as the J8s, or too contrasty blah blah, but I find it amazing with colour film (as you can see in my stream), and the insanely wide rangefinder base makes focusing a dream! the contax grip isn't all that hard to master and anyway, I sometimes focus by gripping the lens in the traditional manner :)

the weather is shite today in london, so the kiev is just sitting in my office... waiting... ;)

nah but it sometimes feels like it sometimes when the trains breakdown again.
Honestly I've spent as much time in the capital as I have in Glasgow this year and every single time I've had to go the trains have broken.

At least this time it didn't SNOW!!!!! hehehehe.

have you tried the russian jupiter 12 35mm lens for this camera? I think it`ll also fit contax`s

I love mine. However, I have to say that I favor my FED 2. Only because it was my first Soviet camera. Seeing yours makes me want to break it out and use film!
