fretful horn
Suprisingly little noise for an hour exposure. Any removal in software?

I'm looking at getting a cable relase for my film 1N to do this without the inherent problems with digital. Saying that, i haven't really looked into how well my 5Dmk2 handles super long exposures.

Nice shot anyway, the blue hue is sublime.

No, not done anything apart from darken it. Considering it was past midnight when I finished there was loads of light. Probably explains the blues. This is as dark as I could get it.

Fantastic shot! theres nothing wrong with that at all!

What a great shot! Not much noise, and clearly not much wind by the looks of it :-) No good waiting for 3am, because you'd get a lot of morning light by then - it's starting to get light even this far south by that time! Anyway, I agree that the blue adds charm. The bright trail draws you to the others, which otherwise might seem a bit masked by that gorgeous 'skyglow.' I wonder what it is? Probably a satellite, or even the space station. Or was it a planet?
