thanks! althought there does seem to be some fogging going on in the centre of the frame which i also noticed in some other brightly lit shots. i there is some tiny tiny bits of fungus between the lens and i'm wondering if they are to blame. i know contrast can be reduced due to fungus but this does seem a bit extreme. maybe i need to get a hood..
