:-) I don't know London at all, but I do know this pub, stupidly enough.

I was heading to LSE to study when I discovered it.

Had some really good ales as far as I recall.

grimhund: so you were a glasgow alumni who went on to the LSE? funny how we mirror each other in that respect :) i have yet to meet any graduates from scotland at the LSE :( one canadian who went to st andrews and that's it.

I started studying at Glasgow Uni then had to transfer cos back then they didn't offer Social Policy to Honours level, so I applied to various places of which LSE was one.

In the end I went to Manchester then on to Bath.

I actually turned down LSE cos I didn't fancy living in London. Of all the daft reasons! I remember the tutor at Glasgow was disappointed with my decision....don't think my dad was that impressed either, come to think of it.

Still, that's the kind of decisions you make at 18 I suppose :-) Manchester seemed very cool back then.....can't say I remember why....

i wish i had turned down the LSE at the moment :( but like you say, i don't think the rents would be too pleased! i hate the place. just hope the reputation is enough to get me a job at the end of it!

I think when i went there, the pushy barwoman was on duty :-( She immediately demanded of me to not photograph the cat. That was after I had taken a couple of shots anyway.
