Oh, agree with you, I guess it can't be eaten -- all mushrooms I ever got in my life are all brown or white. Beautiful red ones must be for fun only! :)

The mushroom looks really lovely. The sharp red color is so vivid. And like the bokeh in background. Cute thing!

My mate was telling me of a type of white mushroom in the UK called 'Avenging Angel' which kills you in about an hour! Yikes :)

A mate told me you *can* eat them for the buzz, but you have to fast for 48 hrs or something beforehand, and you'll still get weird bad trips and stuff.

But I would not advise it. They are known to be seriously poisonous and capable of inducing toxic shock and heart stoppage and all kinds of nasty stuff.

johnny told me about one kind that makes you go blue! and then becomes lethal if you drink alcohol afterwards! :D
