Nice one Carl. Interesting note re. the Tattershall Castle. In a previous life I was responsible for producing menus for a number of pubs and bars of which the Tattershall Castle was one. At the time I wasn’t aware of its connection with Hull.

I'm pretty sure it has done the Humber trip. There were a few used. Lincoln Castle was probably the most well known. Farringford was another one used.

It was always a 'treat' having a trip across the Humber with my Dad when I was younger so I remember a few of them.

At one point the Yorkshire Belle made trips from the pier up towards King George docks and back. It wasn't around for long and was only used for sightseeing whereas the regular ferries were one of the main links between the south and north banks. The Humber Bridge was the death knell for the ferries perhaps?

The pre-cropped shot shows more of the ferry. I've often walked across the Hungerford Bridge and pointed it out to my other half, no doubt bored of me going on about it.

Great shot, we were there last week but spent the whole day walking around and didn't think we'd still be out at night so didn't take a tripod. We were shivering so much that even resting cameras on the edges of the bridges resulted in blurry shots.
