Cool shot!
I love both places, but SF is the best. If you've not been can I be a bore and recommend some good things - I didn't have a camera with me when I went, so perhaps you'll get some shots (and fun) from:
1. The Hyatt Regency hotel with a revolving bar at the top - the inside of the Hotel is nuts, it's a giant hollow pyramid with ever decreasing concentric triangular balconies.
2. The Bank of America building on California has a top floor cocktail lounge - views of the bridge, bay (Alcatraz) and Oakland.
3. Get a private trip under the bridge on a (ex-) fishermans boat, from Pier 39 type area - it didn't cost much and you get an awesome view. It's freezing though and take a plastic bag for the camera. The one we went on had an old rusty bike chained up by his mooring and was recommended.
4. If you go to Alcatraz (and I thought it was brilliant) try to go across sunset, cos the Sun goes down behind the bridge and you can fight for a position to take a picture (the yanks don't put up much of a fight).
5. Clam Chowder in a bread bowl is ****ing disgusting. Don't give in to the temptation.
Enjoy it mate, I'd like to retire there!

Thanks for the tips Ben. I intend to enjoy every minute and if there's a chance of a sunset and a sexy looking bridge I'll be there!
