Well, now's the time to give the b*****d a good workout, Gary!

Be careful. Russian camera madness looks like it has set in...

KF 红相机
Too late! Too late chaps! :D Set in a year ago and been eating away at me from the inside out since then!!! Mwahahahah!

あnhedonic
I'm jealous ._.

Kosmo Foto
Gary - check out my posting in the Russian cameras pool on "what Russian cameras do you own".

I missed a few out, too. ;-)

Stalin's whiskers! That's quite a collection comrade! :D

Comrade albeit you living in a land of the capitalist devil, I am pleased to see your acceptance of the greatness of the Soviet Camera, do not let the quality shake you - this is a ploy by the capitalist. Quantity not quality is the measurement of a true communist, may your collection take you far and may Great Stalin watch over you.

Well said comrade!

Славься, Отечество наше свободное,
Дружбы, народов надежный оплот!
Знамя советское, знамя народное
Пусть от победы, к победе ведет!

Da!

ENjoy the camera. Looks a peach! You get it on eBay??

TommyOshima
heheh nice shopping!
Did you get it at the "QUIGG'S"?? ;)

TheBackupVault
Oh aye forgot about them! I try to avoid them now... I always, always end up buying sommat!

KF 红相机
Alas no chaps, just good old ebay :) Quiggs is very good but they tend to charge quite a bit- saw a FED4 going for £50!!! (and justly so, they do restore them to 100% working order so you don't have to worry too much about one breaking on you) but I couldn't resist this bargain on ebay so I thought I'd take my chances! It's only a fiver anyway... ;)

"I must buy more soviet/east german cameras... I must buy more soviet/east german cameras... I must buy more soviet/east german cameras... (...)"

Ok received the camera. The guy lied. This camera has blatantly taken far more rolls than he claims. There is brassing on the body, the lens is 'sticky', and chipped film in the chamber. Oh well... at least the meter was still working :)

pajaritos
Those are so cheap here in chile. It seemed that mostly everyone had one of those on the 80's. I had one! i also knew my grandpa had a diana. I havent used it yet, i will try tho.
im moving to glasgow in august, i got this spanish teaching scholarship. Perhaps you could go to a small around the city phototrip sometimes!
cheers´!

Benzadrine
Watch the film advance and take-up roller on those babies - they break easily!

KF 红相机
pajaritos, that's so cool! Glasgow is lovely during the summer and has lots to offer in terms of photography! I would be delighted to show you around!

i had a Zenit back in the late 70s:
yes "tank": best desciption:

the Zenit's crappiness was poss a contrib factor in knocking my photo esteem for about 10 years!
took me that long to realise that the images i squessxed out of it were worth the effort;

Heheh so true! The Zenit 11 (which broke on arrival!) has a much better viewfinder- brigher and has fresnel screen. The TTL although feel a lot more reliable, has the darkest viewfinder I have *ever* seen on a SLR! And... *groundglass* focusing :( oh well... just take it out on sunny days only then! :D Damn fun to use too!

pajaritos
ok so in august, the phototrip is a deal.
I got "the hunger" this weekend too and got myself a zenith. haaa!!! it was my boyfriend's brother childhood zenith. I also got a kodak made in england.
