Krasnyi, first, thank you for the comment on my chair photo. Had you not written there, I'd not been led here, so I'm really happy. What a great shot, and it's only the first photo of yours I've seen. I can't wait to look at the rest.

You've captured such a wonderful raw expression on this guy's face, and I love the context in which you've taken him. The colours are beautiful, as is the muted background. I'm heading back to my 50mm today, by chance, and now I feel even more inspired to do so, thanks to you.

Really nice shot. Love the swirling bokeh. What lens were you using? Good composition with him looking out of the frame, too.

Cheers Stephen! I was using a Canon 50mm f1.8 shot wide open. A tiny bit of radial blur was added in photoshop to simulate the swirl of even larger aperture lenses i.e. Leica Noctilux f1.0!
