interesting mood. blurry, though. and the "lock" sign is far too centered and somewhat annoying.

hard-to-find group
Blurry, and the lock sign is distracting.

I have to admit to being biased against infrared images. I find them to be gimmicky.

There is simply nothing intriguing about this.

nytejade said it all.

That swan is very disconcerting.

oh no! it's the deleteme ravens circling overhead. haha, they're more distracting than any "LOCK" sign! you've covered the tonal range very well. i'm sure your histogram is nice and plump. i was totally absorbed looking at the larger version.

dizzy, nyte, dtc, handerson, robin: you could call that sign distracting, but then again isn't that nagging itch lodged inside your head even more distracting?

I think they are right. With the 'romantic' treatment you have given this subject (with the Digital infrared and the blur of the swans) all that is taken away with that sharp sign. Takes all the romanticism away. It is quite good but not a save.

And dtc and Robin didn't even mention the sign, balaclava9.

This hurts my eyes. That double-vision on the swan especially. Pity because it ruins an otherwise good treatment - the trees actually work quite well.

vrai the dotty prof.
the small version doesn't do this justice. at all. I was happy to find a much more pleasing scene in the large version. the tonal breadth is quite nice, and I think in this instance the lack of crispness works in your favor.

That is deeply peculiar (especially the two-headed swan; I think you could lose one of those heads), but I do find myself returning to look at it.

I totally disagree with the "Delete Me Bandwagon".

Find this photo BEAUTIFUL! That´s it. One Word!

looks like an atomic mushroom cloud. and that's why i think i like it being blurred

Like the picture except for the blurred swan and that damn sign. Sorry.

For me the romantic nature of the infrared effect works well with the word LOCK. It brings to mind our archaic ideas of marriage, and the double-headed swan adds this fantasy element, edging a garish element in my head.

i like the strange softness of the trees and the sky but not the overall composition.
it also looks much better in the small version.
