Great shot! This is the one I was trying to capture at the Hammersmith gig. Didn't quite manage it!

Very cool!

Thanks a lot guys! I took about 10 of this shot to be safe! You know when you look through them after, and they're all looking blurry, and you thinking nooooo, please let there be a good one! You keep going, and sometimes if you're lucky, you get one spot on, and your like get in there! haha
Well it was a bit like that : )
Thank you!

Heh I know exactly what you mean. If there's an exciting and/or interesting moment happening on stage then I always try to get quite a few similar shots of it. I do this even if I think I've nailed it the first time - those LCD preview screens can lie sometimes! ;)
Which lens did you use btw?
Justin Evans
I agree, sometimes on the camera screen you think you've nailed it, but you get home and it's not all that sharp after all!
I used a 50mm prime lens for this, f1.8, manual focus, no flash and I got 1/60 shutter speed using my Canon 20D.
I compress my photos now before uploading them, which unfortunately deletes the EXIF data!
Cheers Steve

That's a great shot Justin, timing, exposure, colour and action are all spot on, it captures emily of Metric's performance perfectly

Wow nice shot - I too was trying to get this one at the Dublin show but sadly no joy - doesn't help that I still use film so haven't got the help of the LCD screen!
